To remove Apple's QuickTime from automatically opening downloaded MP3 files, try the following steps:

STEP 1

• Open QuickTime, go to Edit ? Preferences ? QuickTime Preferences.






STEP 2

• Click on the "QuickTime Preferences" to open a new Dialog Box.






STEP 3

• Click on the tab "File Types",Make sure the File Associations for MP3 audio files are UNCHECKED. Try to download again. Some systems might require a reboot.
